Visa and VPBank launch VPBiz Visa Platinum Corporate Card to accelerate SME digital transformation and drive sustainable growth

09/29/2025

Visa (NYSE: V), a global leader in digital payments, together with Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank), announced the launch of the VPBiz Visa Platinum Corporate Card. This new product is designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in enhancing digital capabilities, maintaining cash flow flexibility, and ensuring secure, compliant payments.

Tailored specifically for SMEs, the VPBiz Visa Platinum Corporate Card offers exclusive benefits through the NextPay digital solutions suite, helping businesses streamline operations and drive sustainable growth. Access to finance remains a major challenge for SMEs worldwide, with the global funding gap estimated at USD 5 trillion1. Despite accounting for 97% of all enterprises in Vietnam, SMEs still face challenges in capital access, management capacity, and technology adoption2. Through this collaboration, Visa, VPBank, and NextPay aim to build a comprehensive digital payment ecosystem to empower the sector.

“Visa is proud to partner with VPBank in introducing the VPBiz Visa Platinum Card – a solution that seamlessly combines payments and collections, provides flexible access to capital, and supports secure digital transformation in full compliance with new transparency regulations. Utilizing Visa’s global payment technology platform and leading security standards, SMEs will be empowered to expand their customer networks, grow both domestically and internationally, and contribute to Vietnam’s rapidly advancing digital economy,” said Ms. Dung Dang, Country Manager for Visa Vietnam and Laos.

“The VPBiz Visa Platinum Card marks a step in our commitment to supporting the SME community. Beyond offering diverse options and a new user experience, the product helps businesses optimize expenses management, ease cash flow pressures, and seize market opportunities in a timely manner. We will continue to enhance the product and expand its privileges, ensuring the card remains an increasingly practical and valuable financial tool for our customers,” commented Mr. Nhu Van Thanh, Director of Digitalization and Payment Solutions Center at VPBankSME.

According to a recent Visa study, Vietnamese businesses lead the Asia-Pacific region in the adoption of B2B card payments. With the goal of accelerating SME growth, Visa works closely with a broad network of partners – including domestic payment service providers, e-wallets, and enterprise management software platforms – to integrate digital payments into accounting, human resources, and business management solutions. Visa also continues to expand its ecosystem of benefits for SMEs through collaborations with banks and merchants, offering cardholders service fee waivers, cashback incentives, and preferential pricing – helping SMEs reduce operating costs and accelerate digital payment adoption.

“NextPay’s digital solution suite is designed to help SMEs manage sales, streamline operations, and ensure compliance. Our goal is to provide comprehensive solutions at optimized costs, enabling SMEs to accelerate their digital transformation journey and strengthen their competitive edge,” shared Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuat, Chief Executive Officer of NextPay.

As part of the 2024 Financial Literacy Program, NextPay has organized specialized training sessions and offered trial packages tailored for ethnic minority businesses. In parallel, Visa’s Practical Business Skills initiatives and its SMB Hub portal equip small business owners with essential financial knowledge and tools for the digital era. The “Accelerate My Business” project, initiated by the Center for Women and Development (CWD) with funding from Visa, aims to provide business and digital skills training to 25,000 women entrepreneurs – underscoring Visa’s long-term commitment to fostering sustainable national economic growth.
